As the festive season approaches this is a good time for organisations to plan a festive thank you for the volunteers. Regular recognition and rewarding volunteers are a great way to make them feel valued.

Share a Holiday Meal
There is nothing better than sitting down to a good meal and even better company. Organise a potluck meal for all your volunteers. Celebrate all that they have done for your organisation during the year.

Christmas Goodie Bag
Put together a bunch of practical things your volunteers may need this summer. Sunblock, supermarket vouchers, snacks. Don't just think cheese and crackers.

Volunteer Thank you Christmas Tree
Put up a volunteer Christmas tree or put a large Xmas tree cut out on the wall and decorate with notes that talk about how wonderful your volunteers are.  Place it in your club rooms and invite members/players to share their thoughts and thanks and add to the tree.
