Centreboard Sailing: New members and sailors of all levels are welcome. Come and have a go - first time is free. We also offer lessons commencing November on our Saturdays- Sail training. If you would like to know more or are interested in becoming a member, please contact us or call into the clubrooms on a sailing day. Please check the website for our sailing calendar. The Tararu clubrooms will be open on all days listed on the calendar. Centreboard sailing is generally every second weekend (times vary according to tides) from November through March. Saturdays are usually for non-competitive fun sailing and Sundays are for our Club Racing.

Keeler Sailing: The club also has a Keeler division which runs a series of races & cruises both summer and winter from Heards Bay in Coromandel. Enquiries welcome.

About the Club: The Thames Sailing Club was formed in 1943 and is well established as a family friendly club, catering for all ages and skill levels. Located at Tararu Bay on the Thames Coast, our clubrooms are just a few minutes from central Thames and within easy travelling distance to many popular destinations. Handy for locals and visitors alike, the club provides easy access for centreboard yacht sailing through a wide range of weather conditions in a large, well-protected bay.
