Programme Overview

HE Croquet Club has 52 members, who play croquet three times a week. We play the more interactive game of Golf Croquet (GC). This is as skillful but not as complicated as Association Croquet (AC). AC is played by fewer members with expert coaching available for both disciplines. Croquet is a game for all ages and it combines gentle exercise, skill and tactical play. Our player age demographic ranges from 14 to 90+ years. The Club also hosts team building social croquet events for corporate groups. HECC belongs to Croquet Waikato (an Association of 7 croquet clubs in the Waikato) which allows members access to other regional clubs and entry into competitive tournaments of which there are many throughout the region. For prospective new members all gear is supplied and our only requirement is that flat shoes are worn. While prospective new members are learning to play, a lawn fee of $2/day is expected and once membership has been accepted, subscriptions for the first year are half the full annual sub.
