I joined the Sport Waikato team in mid-2021, returning to the Waikato Region where I grew up, as the Regional Connectivity and Planning Manager. My role is to guide and enhance long term sport, recreation and play opportunities across the Waikato Region through the provision of Spaces and Places planning by working closely with Sport Waikato partners regarding their investment strategies. This planning approach will ensure that the Sport and Recreation sector in the Waikato will have a capability of systems to deliver quality participant-centred activity opportunities in our communities.
It's exciting to be a part of the team ensuring the Waikato region is healthy, vibrant and physically active for years to come. Prior to Sport Waikato I have worked in various Centre and Facility Management roles in the Recreation, Leisure and Retail Property space in Wellington and Melbourne focusing on the delivery and enhancement of public spaces and places. I am qualified with a Bachelor of Physical Education (BPhEd) majoring in Sport and Leisure Studies, Diploma of Management and Certificate in Leadership with experience in Asset Management strategies that enhance customer experiences.
Outside of work, my interests include being exploring new areas to undertake leisure activities with my family along with the occasional game of touch rugby. I also like a good coffee, so if you know of a good place that makes a good brew, please let me know.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss in person how we may be able to work together to get everyone out there and active. Please do get in contact with me via email, phone or text to arrange a time to meet..
