I was born and raised in the rural areas of Waikato and have slowly ventured my way into Hamilton City. Before working at Sport Waikato, I studied a Bachelor of Health, Sport and Human Performance at the University of Waikato. Upon completion of my degree I went backpacking around the UK and Europe for three exciting months.
I started at Sport Waikato in September 2019 as Operations Coordinator and have recently moved into the role of Community Funding Coordinator which involves managing the Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa fund. This is an activation fund that is intended to help cover the costs that are directly associated with the delivery of activity with the goal of providing quality opportunities that are accessible and create a life-long love of being active.
I love all sports and have been heavily involved in various sports since I was a child. However my passion lies with Netball and Rowing. I have played netball most of my life and can't ever see myself not playing. I competed in rowing all through high school then coached for a few years during university.
Outside of work, you will find me at the beach, working on home renovations, playing social sport, or spending time with family & friends.
