Ian Handcock was born in Thames and currently lives near Ngatea on the Hauraki Plains. After dairy farming he has worked as an independent farm consultant in the greater Waikato for the past 17 years. His passion is farmer wellbeing and this has led to founding the Fit4Farming initiative to improve farmer health.
Ian has a strong interest in the benefits of recreation in particular to enhance health & safety and workplace productivity.
Ian is married to Lisa and has three adult children. He has spent many years playing and coaching rugby in the Thames Valley and now cycles and runs ultra-marathons to remain fit.
