Wayne Hofer

Tompkins Wake and Sport Waikato have a 38 year history and Wayne joins Sport Waikato in continuation of the special partnership between Tompkins Wake and Sport Waikato over many years.

Wayne has played high level sport his whole life. He is also a proud Ironman having completed 3 full Ironman races and (too) many 70.3 Ironman races around the world. Wayne has represented New Zealand in the age-group 70.3 World Championship in Las Vegas, USA, and the Olympic Distance Triathlon in London, UK.  

Wayne is married to Lara; they spend weekends looking after their four young children and juggling sport activities such as golf, football, cycling, running, triathlon, swimming, and tennis.
