I have lived in the Waikato for most of my life. I was born and bred in Matamata but I have lived in Hamilton for over 10 years. Over the years I have participated in a variety of sports at a secondary school, regional and club level.
I joined the Sport Waikato team in 2018 as a Planning and Insight Advisor but moved to my Regional Connectivity Coordinator role in 2020. I am super excited about my role, guiding and enhancing long term sport, recreation and play opportunities in the Otorohanga and Waitomo Districts. I’ll be working closely with local council teams with their planning and investment and with the local Sport and Recreation sector to build the capability of systems to deliver quality participant-centred activity opportunities in our communities.
Previous to my time at Sport Waikato I had worked in the health sector and completed my masters in Community Psychology. I was drawn to Sport Waikato because of their strong community focus and their passion for healthier and more active people in the Waikato. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss in person how we may be able to work together to get everyone out there and active. Please do get in contact with me via email, phone or text to arrange a time to meet.
