Te Waihou Walkway, Putaruru

Description
Situated on Whites Road East off State Highway 1 just north of Putaruru, the walk is 5.2km long and takes about 1 & 1/2 hours one way or 3 hours for the return trip. It is open all year round and is generally easy walking although there are a couple of short steep sections and some stiles to cross so not wheelchair accessible. The track can be walked from either the Whites Road carpark end or the Leslie Road end. The Leslie Road end of the walk is the prettiest with the picturesque Blue Spring just a short walk from the carpark.
