The KiwiBaby, KiwiToddler and KiwiPreschooler manuals

In 1990, realising the importance of the early years, Sport Waikato produced the KiwiBaby manual. This manual is offered free to every baby born within the Sport Waikato region through a delivery network that includes Maternity Units, Independent Midwives and Well Child service providers.

Each manual contains activities linked to the developmental stages of the baby, toddler and young child. The activities are varied and include both fine and gross motor skills, massage techniques and safety aspects of play.

Waikato families can contact Sport Waikato on 07 858 5388 or fill out the form in the Get KiwiBaby section of the website to obtain a free copy of the KiwiBaby, KiwiToddler or KiwiPreschooler manuals. Once parents are registered with Sport Waikato, they are then sent out the KiwiToddler manual (for 1-3 year olds) and the KiwiPreschooler manual (for 3-5 year olds).
