Margaret has a background in a range of sports involving participation, competitive and administrative roles. She completed a degree in Biological Science at Waikato University then worked as a Science Researcher before travelling with her husband then moving back husbands family farm near Morrinsville.

Margaret started gymnastics when she was five years old. She has never lost her passion for the sport and has come back to it with her own children about five years ago. She started coaching Recreational Gymnastics at the Morrinsville Gymnastics Club before becoming Head Coach and implementing a range of new programmes including a competitive Gymnastics programme.  

'I have enjoyed being involved with a sport that kids just love. I  look forward to being a part of the Gymsports NZ and Sportsforce team and being involved with developing Gymsports to its potential in the Waikato.'
