Paul Fear is a founding member of the Board of Trustees and was Trust chairman from 1988 to 2002.

A former Hilary Commissioner and Chairman of the New Zealand Network of Sports Trusts, Paul has extensive experience in both national and regional sport and leisure administration. Paul has been a director of the Waikato Rugby Union and trustee of the Waikato Stadium Trust Board, responsible for the funding, design and building of this $42 million project.

He has over 30 years experience in retailing and wholesaling, during which he established New Zealand’s largest independent chain of fruit and vegetable retail outlets. Paul is currently semi retired and acts as a business consultant.
